I’m all about easy. These days I rarely have enough time to take a shower AND put makeup on, so a great, fast makeup product is gold. I love a bronze shadow and cream formulas are so easy to use. They look great from morning to night, and compliment all skin types and eye colors. Major bonus for not having to use a brush to apply. I’ve rounded up a few of my faves. Simply rub a bit of product on your lids, using a clean finger and blend. Voila!
Fall is pretty much here (except for the 90 degree heat in SoCal right now). Pumpkin spice lattes are abundant, and Halloween stores are stocking up for the holiday. I’m all about fall makeup and while a dark lip can be worn year ’round, I tend to break it out more in the cooler months. Groomed brows and dark lashes are all you need to pull off bold lips. It’s appropriate for day as well as night, and can be sheered out by blotting if you’re not quite ready to commit. I’ve rounded up my current faves from balms to glosses.
When we think “summer”, everything from head to toe is light, bright, and white. And when it comes to makeup, rarely do we see anything dark (ok, except for eyeliner and maybe some bronzed skin). One of the beauty trends for spring this year was the dark lip. It was all over runways and red carpets, and it’s still a summer fave. Whether it’s black cherry, burgundy, or wine, a dark hue instantly makes a summery dress pop, and you’ll be a welcomed sight among all the coral and pink glosses. It’s easier to pull off then you think, and can make your look more sophisticated. Just keep the rest of your makeup simple by putting the focus on your sultry lips. I’ve rounded up a few of my faves from dark sheers to super pigmented “I’m going for it” lipsticks. So try incorporating one of these shades into your makeup routine to break the mold and do something bold!
