BRONZE BEAUTY

I’m all about easy. These days I rarely have enough time to take a shower AND put makeup on, so a great, fast makeup product is gold. I love a bronze shadow and cream formulas are so easy to use.  They look great from morning to night, and compliment all skin types and eye colors. Major bonus for not having to use a brush to apply. I’ve rounded up a few of my faves.  Simply rub a bit of product on your lids, using a clean finger and blend.  Voila!

MONTHLY OBSESSION

I’m very much in favor of anything that speeds up my morning makeup routine.  Having a toddler means virtually zero alone time, and these days the morning minutes seem to disappear virtually instantly.  Sometimes a little mascara and concealer just doesn’t cut it and I want to bring it up a notch.  This is where Charlotte Tilbury’s ‘Color Chameleon’ Color Morphing Eyeshadow Pencil comes into play.  Since the pro makeup artist launched her new line, it’s been getting rave reviews.  I’m a fan of many of her products (and more reviews of the ones I like are to come), but I especially love the versatility of these pencils.  They glide on silky smooth and are  blendable, but stay put until you take them off.  You can sharpen them to a point for more of a precision liner, or smudge them all over the top and bottom lashes for a smokier look. So far I’m loving the bronzy “Amber Haze” color for my green eyes, but I definitely plan to pick up a few of (if not all!) the rest.

HOW-TO: DEWY MAKEUP

Finished

There’s something universally appealing about dewy, glowing skin — it makes you look fresh, full of joy, and it’s just perfect for warm summer days.

Supplies

What you’ll need:
Cream Shadow and brush (optional)
Bronze Eye Pencil
Mascara
Cream Blush
Highlighter
Lip Gloss

Eyeshadow

Start with a little concealer to cover any blemishes and dark circles and pat a cream shadow like this one called “Corfu” by Nars all across the lid.

Eyeliner

Next take a creamy dark pencil in a bronzy color and smudge it along the lash line. I used Smashbox Waterproof Shadow Liner in “Luminous Fig”.  Finish with a coat of black mascara on top and bottom lashes.

Highlighter

Applying the Nars Multiple in “Malibu” gives a pretty pink sheen on the apples of the cheeks. Bring out the cheekbones by adding a highlighter on top and on the brow bone. I used Stila All Over Shimmer in “Bronze Shimmer”.

Lipgloss

Finish the look by popping on a pinky-nude lipgloss like Armani’s Lip Shimmer “16”. Voila!!! Pretty, dewy and luminous!
