Most people that know me, know that Halloween is my fave holiday. I love all the festivities from the costumes to the pumpkin carving, to the haunted houses. I usually give my costume quite a bit of thought, but this year, I’m putting most of my efforts into my son’s, since it’s the first year he’s gotten really excited. So I’ll most likely be pulling together something last minute. I realize for many, the last minute costume is the route of choice, so I’ve picked a few makeup kits that require little thought and are super easy to use.
Make Up For Ever 12 Flash Color Palette
The most expensive of the bunch, but the colors are so amazing and you can mix them into any configuration. You can use it for everything from mixing lip colors, to painting your whole face.
Last summer I did a deodorant test where I swapped my normal favorite for an aluminum-free option. I tried 5 but only 2 came out on top. Since then, I made the permanent switch to safer deodorants and have now tested a few more. I’ve come to realize that while I love the idea of using chemically-safe and natural alternatives, I tend to have to switch them up every few months. Hormonal changes, as well as dietary shifts, and seasonal weather effect how my body reacts to deodorant. So to eliminate the dreaded midday pit test, I’ve compiled my top 4 favorite that both my husband and I use without trepidation.
As fall approaches and the weather starts to cool down, I reach for more luxurious bath products to help my skin feel soothed and moisturized. Most people think of moisturizer as something you use after a shower or bath, but how about incorporating it into your bathing routine? Warm baths are a perfect way to unwind after a long day, and I love to add a little scented bath oil to keep my skin smooth, and calm my senses. They make wonderful hostess gifts for those holiday stays and look beautiful on any counter.
