It’s festival time again! Just when you thought the crop tops and fringed booties were closeted until next spring, it’s Burning Man time. Unlike other festivals, this one is a little more “organic”. No phones, no computers, no money exchanged – camping in the dirt and embracing the elements. I decided to do a round up of some products that would be appropriate for desert camping and that you could easily toss in your feathered burlap bag.
No Rinse Bathing Wipes
Pretty self explanatory – these wipes are perfect for those “I need a shower so bad” moments when you can’t actually do the real thing.
No Rinse Camping Shampoo
Also a godsend with no water, would be washing your hair with a liquid that doesn’t need to be rinsed out. Dry shampoo cans can cut it for a few days, but then those unintentional white girl dreads will need a little loving.
Neutrogena Wet Skin Sunblock Spray SPF 50
Designed to work with completely wet skin, this sunscreen is one of the longer lasting ones, making it a great option for super hot and sweaty days. The mister is also “no rub”, which means you won’t have to wash those greasy hands.
Uncle Harry’s All Natural Rose Water Spray
The desert is hot during the day and cold at night and your skin will be parched! Nourish it with some added moisture, without having to slather on the lotion.
Burt’s Bees Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleansing Towelettes
No need for your skin to suffer while you’re camping. Using some facial towelettes will rid your face of dirt, oil, makeup, and some of that residue from the glitter camp.
Supergoop! SPF 30 Acai Fusion Lip Balm
Not only does this lip balm boast one of the higher SPF’s on the market, it also has a smooth, pinky texture and tint, making it an excellent alternative to those pasty white versions.
