My amazingly talented cousin Claire, who’s behind all my videos, is the master-mind behind The Kitchy Kitchen.  It’s filled with wonderful recipes, lifestyle tips, beautiful photography, and now a collaboration with yours truly.  I’m so excited to be a part of her monthly beauty series and this month I whipped up a beauty smoothie.  Check it out on her blog here and read below!

In addition to creams, exfoliants, and moisturizers, what you eat has a direct correlation with your skin.  The ingredients in this beauty smoothie helps with a whole slew of stuff like anti-aging, redness, hydration, acne; and it tastes delicious.

Pineapple not only adds sweetness, but also contains alpha-hydroxy acid – an ingredient in wrinkle creams, and a rich source of the antioxidant, vitamin C.  Kale also contains vitamin C, A and E, which help promote healthy cell regrowth.  Ginger does wonders for acne and oil control.  Apples, also rich in vitamin C, contain B vitamins as well, that combat acne and irritation.  Cucumbers provide hydration as well as anti-inflammatory properties, vitamins B and C, zinc, iron, and folic acid. Drink up!

  1. Fun watching Claire take over the cyber sphere and gain popularity with her TV show on Litton’s Saturday series. Great new young generation of foodies you guys are. Claire has such a sweet way of keeping your attention and making the family recipes look and taste their best. Full grace humility and passion as well as style. Just like the feature pic in this post. Best of luck to you both in continued success. You guys rock!
