Pink is pretty, but sometimes you want to punch it up with something a little different. I love purple. It’s feminine but slightly edgy, and is flattering on everything from eyes to lips to nails. If you have brown, green, or hazel eyes, warm purples will make your eyes pop. Blue eyes look great with cooler purple hues. However, stick to one area at a time – bold colors are most wearable when the rest of your face is pretty neutral. Here are some ways you can slip purple into your makeup routine:
Eyeshadow – Swipe a purple shadow that has a slight bit of shimmer from lash line to brow bone. Finish with a few coats of black mascara. Deepen the look by bringing the shadow underneath the lower lash line and smoking it out in the outer corners.
Liner – I wear purple eyeliner almost everyday. I have green eyes and I love the way it makes them stand out. You can go bright or do a more subtle burgundy color, but either way, it will be more fun then basic black. Liquid, gel, and pencils are all great for this.

Lips – Purple on the lips may seem daunting, but if you go sheer, you can really pull it off day or night. If you want to be a little more daring though, go darker by choosing a more pigmented color with red undertones.
