Wedding Season is here! For all you brides to be, there are so many things to think of when planning your big day. You want to look and feel your best, and while hiring a professional makeup artist is great, it can be expensive (sorry!). But wedding makeup can absolutely be DIY.
I put together two videos for Racked LA‘s wedding week, and with the help of my awesome cousin Claire Thomas of The Kitchy Kitchen and her cute assistant Callie Butts, we show you how to prep your skin for the big day. Click here to view the first part in an article posted by Natalie Alcala.
Prepping your skin for your wedding day is as important as applying the makeup. Eyebrow waxing and facials should be done a few days before to ensure skin sensitivity. You want your skin hydrated, so drink plenty of water leading up to the big day, especially if you’re spending time celebrating with a cocktail (or three!). If your ceremony and/or reception takes place outside, make sure your moisturizer contains sunscreen. And if you plan on tanning, do a trial run one month before to see if you like the results. Your face should seamlessly match your neck, shoulders and décolletage, so make sure your current foundation is dark enough to match your new faux glow.
