WEDDING DIY – Part 2

My cousin Claire Thomas from The Kitchy Kitchen and her adorable assistant Callie Butts help me show you how to complete Part 2 of the wedding DIY.  Click here to view this video on Racked LA and read the article by Natalie Alcala.

After you’re done prepping your skin, now it’s time for bridal beauty.  Make sure to do one or two practice runs to perfect the look you want. Keep in mind while you’re practicing in jeans and a t-shirt, that you’re going to be wearing a pretty dress with your hair done, so go a little bolder then you normally would. I like to concentrate more on the eyes then the mouth with brides, so I would shy away from bright or dark lip colors. Plus, you’re going to be too busy eating, drinking, talking and kissing to worry about running to the bathroom to fix your fading lipstick. When it comes to eyes, bronze shadows flatter every eye color and look really pretty for both day and night, which makes them great for weddings. I also love false, individual lashes on brides. Here’s a tip for applying your own: Lay a mirror on a table in front of you and look down into it. This will force your eyelids to close slightly, making it a lot easier to apply them on yourself. If putting them across your lid is too much for you, just add a few in the outer corners for a little less drama.
